The Halal Guys offer authentic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors with premium quality meats and a handful serving of rice —and of course their New York famous White Sauce and Hot Sauce. The food chain also offers falafels, baba ganoush, platters, gyros and more. The flavors are described: “as entailing a complex melting pot of flavors originating from the Mediterranean and the Middle East.”

The Halal Guys have come a long way, from opening their first food-cart 27 years ago in New York City as a food cart on the southeast corner of 53rd ST and 6th Ave. An Egyptian-descendent Mohamed Abouelenein founded it. As the business grew over time, it became a high-popular demand for Muslim taxi drivers looking for a fast, but filling meal.

As said by The Halal Guys website, “Fast-forward 25 years, five carts, two New York City restaurants, and millions of diverse customers served, The Halal Guys is growing yet again. Fans no longer have to be in NYC to experience The Halal Guys as they look to share American Halal Food all over the country and the world.”
